This decision, regardless of what law you choose to hide behind, is a terrific example of elected officials not respecting the opinions, efforts and desires of their constituents. Legal/political maneuverings cost  taxpayer dollars (I assume the developer is not paying the county legal fees) and puts an additional layer of slime on an already slimy position by the Commissioners.  It seems to me that the Commissioners have taken the position that 4 Seasons will be built come hell or high water.    Yes, I am angry and for a number of reasons (1) there is obviously a large population that needs to be heard (through the ability
to vote on the referendum) and the opportunity has been taken away (2) KI has little critical area remaining and the elected officials are treating those areas with total disrespect and lack of thought of the affect of their decisions over the long term (that means beyond your next election or should I say hopefully, lack of election).

I am hopeful that Kent Island Defense League will have some other tool to keep the issue on the table and in front of the residents.  My guess is you have incensed the intelligent population of Queen Anne County and you haven't seen the end of this fight.
