By MARGOT MOHSBERG, Kent Island Staff Writer The Queen Anne's County Board of Commissioners yesterday approved an amended version of a measure aimed at controlling growth. The amendments to the Adequate Facilities Ordinance addressed concerns raised by residents and developers. According to the ordinance, developers would have to show that existing county facilities -- roads, sewer, water and schools -- could handle the impact of the new homes, or they would have to provide those facilities themselves. One amendment states that any project that has 25 or more car trips during its peak rush hour falls under the ordinance. Before, it was determined by square footage. Another stipulates that a three-member review committee comprised of the county administrator, director of planning and zoning and director of public works will review projects, instead of only the county planning director. Minutes on Web The county's Web site, www.queenannes.com,
will now feature the minutes from Planning Commission meetings, usually
held the second Thursday of every month.
