STEVENSVILLE - Queen Anne's County wants to buy a 28-acre parcel of land on Kent Island owned by Wal-Mart, Inc. for expansion of the Bay Bridge Airport, and the company says it is interested in selling.
 
The company also said it has no definite plans for building a store in Caroline County near Denton.

"We'd like to talk with the county about the sale of the property, and would like to have a meeting if they're agreeable," said Mia Masten, Wal-Mart's regional manager of community affairs, based in Washington D.C. "We're still interested in the overall area, but there are no longer any plans for Kent Island, and if the county is interested, we would like to meet with them."
